The management Innovations, diagnostics and clinical pathways research Area promotes and conducts studies aimed at evaluating the impact of organizational innovations on the quality of care, measured on the basis of effectiveness, appropriateness, equity, patients and operators.
It deals with analyzing the care needs and the development of organizational and management models capable of promoting the dissemination of good clinical practices and increasing efficiency standards.
In particular, the Area studies clinical innovations in the field of plastic and maxillofacial Surgery and multimodal Imaging, also in the field of the mechanisms of the immune response to microbial pathogens.
It also deals with the study of molecular alterations for specific diagnostic challenges and with finding innovative models of regulations in Pediatrics for the necessary alignments with national, European and non-Europeans regulatory changes.
Finally, the research of the mutational and phenotypic spectrum of patients for the identification of new disease genes is developed in the Area.
