Governance

Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital is an Institution belonging to the Holy See, to which it reports directly and to whose supervision and direction it is subject.

The management bodies are the President, who is the legal representative, and the Board of Directors. The Board of Auditors acts as supervisory body.

The President is appointed by the Holy See with a separate act by the Secretary of State, who also appoints the members of the Board of Directors and of the Board of Auditors. The President of the Board of Auditors is appointed by the Prefect of the Secretariat for the Economy.

The mandate of the governing bodies expires at the approval of the 2023 financial statements.
