ISO certification confirmed at the Bambino Gesù Hospital. Following an inspection which took place during the month of November, the DNV International Organization has reconfirmed, for the three-year period of 2022-2024, the compliance of the Hospital Quality System with the requirements of the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 standard. The previous visit for the recertification took place in 2019.
The voluntary ISO certification system (International Organization for Standardization) is widely used in Healthcare for the promotion of quality. The certification is valid for the three years and provides for an annual verification of the ISO Quality System on the behalf of DNV.
All preparatory activities for obtaining and maintaining the ISO Quality Management System are coordinated by the Health Department, responsible for the Hospital’s ISO certification project, through the Certification Service.
In detail, the certification at the Bambino Gesù Hospital according to the UNI EN ISO standards is aimed at various transversal organizational elements of support to the Clinic and Research, as well as to the administrative and managerial areas of Bambino Gesù, and integrates with all other Hospital accreditation systems.
“We are really satisfied with the confirmation of the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 certification – commented the Medical Director, Massimiliano Raponi -. It is an achievement that demonstrates how Bambino Gesù continues with the process of continuous quality improvement, which is fundamental for a Pediatric Hospital”.
