The Department of Neurosciences is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the nervous system, from neurological to psychiatric conditions, with a multi-specialist approach.

The Department collaborates with all the other Departments of the Hospital, in particular with the Intensive Neurorehabilitation and Robotics Unit for the rehabilitation services that are essential in the treatment and follow-up of many diseases.

Several Operating Units belonging to the Department are recognized by the European Reference Networks dedicated to rare diseases (ERNs), thanks to their high-level clinical services, scientific production, and participation in national and international research projects.

The Department carries out academic activities in collaboration with the Specialization Schools in Child Neuropsychiatry of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and Università di Roma Tor Vergata. The clinical activity is performed in the facilities of Gianicolo, San Paolo, and Baldelli.
