The President of Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital is appointed by the Holy See by act of the Secretary of State. The current mandate will expire at the approval of the 2023 financial statements.

The President – who summons and chairs the Board of Directors meetings – is the legal representative of the Hospital and defines its strategies with direct supervision on all areas.

All the Departments (Health Department, Scientific Department, Experimental and Precision Medicine Department, Administration), the Functions coordinating specific additional cross-cutting support activities, the Center of Excellence that coordinates clinical trials (except for oncohematology), as well as the independent control functions, report directly to the President.
